A Ford County jury convicted a Bonfield man on charges of obstructing justice and unlawful possession of cannabis. The same jury acquitted 30-year-old Chet Seliga of a DUI charge.
A sentencing date is set for May 31. Seliga faces penalties ranging from probation to up to three years in prison for the Class 4 felony of obstructing justice.
He's also looking at probation to up to 30 days in jail for unlawful possession of cannabis.
Seliga was arrested in December of 2014 during a traffic stop in Cabery in Ford County. The traffic offenses were dismissed in favor of the obstruction of justice, cannabis and DUI charges.
