As the new school year approaches in Illinois, expectations are for a more typical prep sports season.  Matt Troha, with the Illinois High School Association, says everyone seems excited to kick things off in the coming weeks.  It’s been two full seasons since some sports have completed a state championship series. Troha says in that time he’s been impressed with the resiliency of coaches and student-athletes around Illinois. He says other than mask requirements for some indoor sports to start the season, fans shouldn’t expect to see many differences with the gameplay across the I-H-S-A.
