Iroquois County Coroner’s Office responded to a single vehicle rollover accident that happened at approximately at 12:20 am (today, Monday) at 1350 North and Route 49 south of Crescent City.  A 22 year old female from Danville was pronounced dead at the scene. The name is being withheld until family can be notified.

A 2018 Jeep was traveling southbound, crossed over the northbound lane and entered the east side ditch. The jeep struck a guardrail causing the jeep to roll several times. Three subjects were transported to local hospitals and  one subject was airlifted from the scene.

The Illinois State Police is investigating the accident. Crescent City Ambulance Riverside Ambulance and Crescent City Fire Department assisted at the scene.
