An August 15th structure fire in Beaverville now finds a 15-year-old teen facing an arson charge. Iroquois County Sheriff's police arrested the boy Wednesday.

Up to a dozen area fire departments and 70 firemen responded to the call on St. Charles Street. The vacant building had been abandoned for about 8 years. The building had been used most recently as a residence. It was also a restaurant, a nursing home and provided housing for Catholic nuns years ago.

The State Fire Marshal's Office ruled the fire intentional. Police say they followed up on numerous leads before questioning and identifying the teen as a suspect.
