The Kankakee County Health Department (Tuesday) reported 18 new confirmed cases of coronavirus. The county’s total cases reached 128. Seventeen of the newest cases are men ranging in ages from teens to 60s, with one female in her 50s. Monday's cases were nine women and five men ranging in ages from 20s to 90s.

The most recent coronavirus-related deaths was at six. And nine patients have recovered.

Statewide, on Monday, 1,006 new confirmed cases of the disease and 33 additional deaths were reported by officials with the Illinois Department of Public That brings the total number of cases in Illinois since the outbreak began to 12,262, including 307 deaths.
