The Iroquois County Treasurer’s Office is reminding residents that the last day to pay the first installment of property taxes without penalty will be July 10th. The office will be open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the collection of taxes, and to assist the taxpayers with any questions that they may have.
However, the Treasurer’s Office will be closed today in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.
After the delinquent date, 1 ½ percent interest on farmland, residential, commercial and industrial must be charged per month on the first installment according to Illinois state statute.
REMINDER: Taxes are also payable at all Iroquois County banks, through the mail, and the office’s drop box located on the south side of the building. Residents can also pay online at iroquoisil.devnetwedge.com with a credit/debit card (2.3% convenience fee) or e-check ($2.00 fee).
