A Ford County judge rejected a request Thursday to reduce the $2 million bond previously set for Heather Lamie. She's charged with two counts of murder in the 2011 death of a foster child in her care.

Four-year-old Kianna Rudisell died in May of 2011. The girl had suffered seizure-like symptoms, according to reports, when medical personnel were called to Lamie's home in Cullom. Later, it was determined the girl died of multiple injuries that were ruled "not self-inflicted."
In Livingston County Court, Judge Stephen Pacey refused to lower Lamie's bond to $100,000.

Livingston County State's Attorney Seth Uphoff argued the 29-year-old Lamie was a flight risk because — if convicted of the murder of the 4-year-old, she faces life in prison. Lamie is also charged with endangering the life and health of a child. That's a felony that carries a possibility of two to 10 years in prison upon conviction.

Heather Lamie was arrested June 21 after a Livingston County grand jury indicted her on murder charges.
Lamie and her husband, Joshua, have two biological children who were taken into DCFS custody after the May 2011 incident. The children have since been allowed to return to home with their parents.
