40-Year Prison Term for Dealing Cocaine

49-year-old Marcus McGath of Pontiac was sentenced to 40 years in prison in a case out of Livingston County.  McGath was found guilty at trial and sentenced to 25 years in prison for Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (cocaine).  The state’s attorney office reports McGath was arrested by the Pontiac Police Department and charged in a 2021 case of two counts of delivery of a controlled substance (cocaine).  An additional 15-years was added to the original sentence, bringing the total sentence to 40-years.
