A weekend event in Champaign will find a group rallying to try to put a stop to gun-violence in the area. Organizers say the event Friday and Saturday is to help fight gun violence in Champaign-Urbana.  Several incidents of gun play have been in the news the last several weeks.  48 Hours of Peace will start Friday night at 6 pm at the Douglass Park Amphitheater.

Saturday finds an event for teenagers beginning at 10 am. A local block party is part of the activities from Noon 'til 5 pm.  Organizers say they wanted to create a multi-faith event.
