The "Paint Your Path" 5K honoring Watseka teacher/coach Brent McTaggart is set for Saturday. The event is to be held at 8 am Saturday at Watseka Community High School. Check-in is from 7 – 8 am.

Several businesses and individuals have donated for the event. Proceeds from the race go toward scholarships for student-athletes from the school and to honor coach Brent McTaggart, who died in an automobile accident a year ago.

More than 500 participants have registered. A balloon launch will start the race at 8:30 in the morning. Awards will be presented to participants in different age groups.
