74% Voter Turnout in Iroquois County

New County Board members join the fold next month in Iroquois County. And the new names were supported by voters (Tuesday). The fresh faces/voices were not contested in the General Election, having already been supported in the March Primary Election.

The County Board members join county-wide elected office-holders, who were also not opposed Tuesday.

Lisa Hines won another 4-year term as Circuit Clerk. Bill Cheatum won support for Coroner. And Mike Quinlan is the soon-to-be State’s Attorney. Jim Devine did not seek another term.

The new County Board will re-organize at a meeting December 2. A new fiscal year begins with the County Board meeting December 10.

Jody Munsterman is a new voice for District 2. Kathleen Perkinson is already settled in her District 2 seat. Jamie Lee Bakken ism newly-elected to District 3 Roger Bard returns a District 4 seat.

An impressive 74 percent of the Iroquois County voters turned out to cast ballots. County Clerk Breein Suver said the election went well, no problems reported.
