9-1-1 Director’s residency questioned in Iroquois County

State’s Attorney Jim Devine will be reviewing the Iroquois County Ordinance concerning residency requirements for employees. The residency of 911 Director Eric Raymond came into question at the Board’s Judicial & Public Safety meeting. Board member Chad McGinnis questioned the possible change in the job description, but Raymond told the committee his position is governed by the ETSB, not the County Board. McGinnis (reports stated) said it doesn’t look good for an Iroquois County agency to have a director relocate, and move outside the county. He said it shows neglect by the ETSB to now follow the county ordinance.

McGinnis stated, it’s an issue the Edgar County Watchdogs have raised in the past and he’s trying to avoid that happening again.
