Illinois received beneficial rainfall over the past few days with some spots seeing several inches. The rain alleviated drought conditions that have been building since July. Central Illinois and to the south saw the most rainfall, with Springfield and Taylorville receiving over 5 inches. Champaign and Decatur received over 4 inches of rain. More rain is expected in Illinois this weekend.
