Accidental shooting injures Lowell man at Monticello restaurant

Police in Monticello, IN say a Lowell was wounded (Sunday) when a gun he was carrying fell to the ground, went off and hit him in the hand. It happened at a Wendy’s restaurant.

Police report 36-year-old Nickola Kasparian III was carrying a .45 caliber handgun in a holster when it fell out. After hitting his hand, the bullet went into a wall.

The man was treated for the gunshot wound at a hospital in Lafayette.

No other injuries were reported. Possible weapon charges against the man was being reviewed.
