Anderson named to Iroquois County EMA position

Watseka resident Scott Anderson has been tabbed as Iroquois County's Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Coordinator.  He brings a 30-year background in the field of emergency services to the position. Most of Andersn's experience is in the fire service.  He also worked as an EMT and Paramedic. 

The County Board learned of Anderson's hire Tuesday.  Board Chairman John Shure said Anderson will serve a dual role with the EMA role and the County Public Health department.  

Anderson is also a licensed amateur radio operator and has been an active storm spotter for the Iroquois County Skywarn Team for more than a decade.

Anderson is also a 4th ward Alderman in the city of Watseka.
