Andrew Condon murder trial set to go in Iroquois County

The long-awaited murder trial of Andrew Condon is nearing in Iroquois County. The 36-year-old Ashkum man stands trial for a 2012 murder in Gilman beginning Monday.

Condon has been jailed in Watseka since his arrest in November of 2012. He's charged with the gas station shooting death of 27-year-old Jonathon Rubin. The Danforth man was killed October 27th (2012) while working as an attendant at the then Gilman-Shell station, along Route 24.

Condon is represented by Kankakee attorney Ed Glazur. Iroquois County State's Attorney Jim Devine said jury selection is scheduled to begin Monday before Judge Gordon Lustfeldt.
