A Watseka man has died of injuries he sustained in a head-on collision last month, east of Sheldon on Route 24. The weekend death of Michael Strong marks the third victim of the October 17 crash.

Strong died Saturday of complications suffered in the crash. He was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Howard Kissack of Watseka. The 82-year-old Kissack also died of injuries, two days after the accident.

Patricia Allford of Sheldon died November 4. It was her pickup truck that ran into Kizzack’s vehicle while trying to pass a semi on Route 24 at 3190E.

56-year-old Michael Strong was pronounced dead at 10:20 p.m. Saturday at Carle Hospital in Urbana, according to Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup.

The driver of the semi was not injured.
