The citizens of Watseka are invited to an Open House September 1 to learn more about what Aqua Illinois is about and what the company has to offer should the company purchase the city's water and waste-water treatment system.

The Open House, from 4-7 pm, on Thursday, September 1 at City Hall would be followed by a Special City Council meeting.

Aqua Illinois president Craig Blanchette said "we had the public hearing, good comments and questions caem from it, but there's still questions that persist.  He said we're open to hosting an open house to answer questions and provide information for the public."
