October arrives tomorrow (Tuesday) and the flu season is here again. Health officials are urging the public to take advantage of this season’s scheduled flu clinics. Contact your respective health department about the available hours to stop by for that vaccination. Most all offices have posted their vaccination dates. Most area pharmacies also offer the flu shots.

Health departments are also willing to work with schools, businesses and other organizations to arrange satellite sites for vaccinations. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that flu vaccinations begin as soon as vaccine is available.
