Unemployment numbers show a decline again. Unemployment fell in Iroquois, Vermilion and Champaign Counties during February.
In Iroquois County the rate fell over the year from 9.4 percent last February to 6.5 percent here in 2015. In the City of Danville, the unemployment rate shows a sharp drop from 10.9 percent in February of 2014 to 6.8 percent this February. The newly-released figures from the Department of Labor states the figures have not been seasonally adjusted.
Vermilion County's jobless rate dropped from 7.8 percent in January to 7.2 percent. In Champaign County the rate dropped from 5.8 percent in January to February's 5.2 percent.
