The wife of a Kankakee man found dead in a house after a February fire has been arrested for his death.  57-year-old Mrs. Tammy Spencer faces charges in the death of 66-year-old Phillip Spencer.  He was found deceased in the couple's home at 455 E. Bourbonnais Street in Kankakee February 2nd. 

Kankakee Fire/Arson Investigators and Kankakee City Detectives conducted a thorough investigation following the structure fire.  The Kankakee Fire department respnded to the call at 9:45 pm when notified of a residential fire at the location.  It was determined the fire was suspicious in nature.  It's expected Mrs. Spencer will be charged with starting the fire.
