32-year-old Thomas James of Kankakee was arrested over the weekend following a hold-up at a gas station early Sunday.

Police took James into custody without incident at an apartment complex not far from the business on South Indiana Avenue.

James allegedly showed a handgun during the robbery but did not fire any shots. No injuries were reported and police said they recovered the gun, as well as an undisclosed amount of cash and several cartons of cigarettes.
