A rollover accident involving a lawn tractor claimed the life of a rural Ashkum woman. 48-year-old JoEll Lemanager was discovered (Thursday) evening by a family member. She was underneath a mower, which apparently had rolled on top of her in a 10-foot ditch on her property, north of Ashkum.

Iroquois County Coroner Bill Cheatum said an autopsy is planned. Cheatum said it’s unknown whether a medical issue led to the accident.  Ashkum Fire and Riverside Ambulance were notified about 8:20 pm, after the family discovered the rollover. It’s unknown just when the incident happened.
