An armed robbery of an AT&T Store in Bradley (Saturday) led to a police chase and Chicago men taken into custody. None of the AT44&T employees were injured. The two assailants are in the Jerome Combs Detention Center facing armed robbery and weapons charges.
Bradley Police report 27-year-old Quentin Evans and 22-year-old Comonte Sanders fled the AT&T Store on State Route 50. A Chicago Police Helicopter Unit and Illinois State Police were able to track the get-away vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on eastbound I-290. Several Chicago-area units pursued the vehicle until it lost a tire and crashed into a parked vehicle. The two occupants fled the vehicle on foot and both were taken into custody by police.
Bradley Police responded to the AT&T just past 5:30 pm (Sat) regarding the reported armed robbery that just occurred. Officers learned the two subjects wearing masks and gloves entered the business with one of them pointing a firearm towards employees. The employees were escorted to a back room where several electronic items were taken from a safe.
When the two assailants fled the store to the northbound I-57, Police, KanComm and AT&T management were able to track the subjects traveling toward the Chicago area.
ISP located a firearm in the vehicle as well as all the stolen merchandise from AT&T.
