Watseka Police have arrested a St. Anne man in connection with the theft of two ATVs from a Watseka dealership. The Watseka Suzuki Honda business reported the theft last Wednesday.
57-year-old Donald Baker was charged with theft over $10,000. He’s jailed in Iroquois County.
Another man is also identified as 31-year-old Andrew B. Hancock of St. Anne. He’s currently in the Kankakee County Jail on unrelated charges. Watseka Police plan to seek charges against him when he is released from Kankakee County.
Watseka Police and St. Anne Police wrapped up a three-day investigation into the thefts. According to police reports, two ATVs were stolen from inside a fenced in area of the business. One of the ATV’s was recovered.
Police were able to obtain surveillance photos and asked the public for help in identifying the suspects. St. Anne Police notified Watseka Police of the possible identities of the two men. Police said Baker admitted to being involved in the theft.
