Bagpipes and Drums performing at Bourbonnais Friendship Parade

                                    Coach Barclay to lead Festival parade


The 2014 Friendship Festival at Bourbonnais is set for Wednesday running thru the weekend. Several activities highlight the annual festival.


The bagpipes and drums of the Emerald Society Chicago Police Department are set to march and perform in the festival parade, Sunday, June 29th. The bagpipes and drums are a special appearance to honor fallen Bourbonnais Police Officer Justin Honeycutt.. he died in an auto accident last year.

The Emerald Band has performed at police and firefighter memorials throughout the country for 30 years.
Grand Marshall for the Festival Parade is retired Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School teacher and coach Doug Barclay. He spent 36 years at BBCHS, where he taught physical education, chaired the P.E. Department and coached football, track and wrestling.
