FAIRBURY – A barn southwest of Fairbury was destroyed by fire on Thursday night.

Firefighters responded to the blaze, at the Derrick Steidinger farm, around 7:30 p.m. along Livingston County road 1925 East.

There were no reports of injuries and some cattle were safely removed from the barn.  The cause of Thursday’s fire is under investigation.
