The historic St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Beecher was destroyed by fire Sunday.  No injuries were reported.  Up to a dozen area fire departments answered the call.  The church was hosting its annual Octoberfest when the fire broke out.  The cause wasn't announced.  Fire crews brought the flames under control, but the structure was a total loss. The Lutheran Church has deep roots in the Beecher community, having been founded in 1865.
