Benefit for Bradley Officer Tyler Bailey

A local fundraiser is planned Sunday at the Northfield Square Mall to support the recovery effort of Bradley Police Officer Tyler Bailey. Friends of the family and the community are expected to rally to raise money for Officer Bailey's recovery following the shooting that critically wounded him and killed his police-partner, Sgt. Marlene Rittmanic.

The fundraier is from 2 - 6 pm in the former Carson's women's store at Northfield  Square.  There are $20 tickets for sale, including raffles and other prizes.  Proceeds benefit Officer Bailey and his wife, Sydney.  She has taken off time from her job to assist with her husband's recovery.  Tickets for the benefit are available at the door.  More info is posted on a Blue for Bailey Facebook page.

Officer Bailey and Sgt. Rittmanic were ambushed while on a routine call.  Both were shot during the incident at the Comfort Inn in Bradley December 29.
