State Representative Tom Bennett of Gibson City has been named to the House Republican leadership team and will serve as an Assistant Republican Leader in the 102nd General Assembly. 

“I was honored to be selected as a member of the leadership team for the upcoming General Assembly,” Bennett said. “As an Assistant Republican Leader I will have an even greater opportunity to influence policy and get things done for our district and for the state. I am eager to get to work on the many challenges our state faces.”  Bennett was chosen for the post by House Republican Leader Jim Durkin.
