A two-vehicle crash in Benton County, IN Wednesday left one person dead another injured.  Sheriff John Cox reported the crash involved an SUV and a semi on Old U.S. 41 near Boswell.  Killed was the driver of the SUV,  29-year-old Orlen Leonel Cruz-Reyes of Boswell.  A 15-year-old passenger in the SUV was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital.  The 48-year-old truck driver from Chicago was not injured.

Sheriff Cox reports Cruz-Reyes stopped at a stop sign then turned into the path of the oncoming semi truck on U.S. 41.  A State Police reconstruction team was involved in the investigation.  Highway 41 was shut down from 5:30 pm until 10 pm.
