The American Red Cross will be taking blood donations from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5 in the Iroquois Room at Kankakee Community College.
The Red Cross encourages eligible participants to make a donation. In most cases, the entire donation process takes about one hour. Participants must have at least 56 days since their last whole blood donation or 112 days since their last double red cell donation.
The American Red Cross of Kankakee County has served area residents for more than 90 years. The blood drive is sponsored by KCC’s Student Advisory Council.
For more information or to set up an appointment, phone 815-802-8100. Walk-in donations also will be accepted.
KCC is located south of downtown Kankakee off River Road, near U.S. 45-52, or take Interstate 57 to Exit 308 and follow the signs.
