Department of Natural Resource officials have reported the body of a Hammond, Indiana man who drowned Saturday evening at JC Murphy Lake has been found.

The body of 22-year-old Saul Lopez was recovered Tuesday morning by the Kentland Fire Department. Lopez had been reported missing and presumed drowned atJC Murphy Lake at Willow Slough Fish and Wildlife Area in Newton County.
Conservation officers and the Kentland Fire Department had been searching for Lopez since he disappeared under the water on Saturday, July 19.

Indiana Conservation officers are continuing to investigate the death of Lopez.
