Bomb threats in Watseka (Friday) alerted local law enforcement. Businesses at a handful of locations reported being notified … the alerts were automated calls. Watseka Police and Iroquois County Sheriff’s deputies responded to sites on E. Walnut Street, W. Walnut, S. 4th Street and another early Saturday morning in the 600-block of E. Mulberry.
Evacuations were ordered while building searches were conducted. Businesses reported nothing was found. Police have not issued any findings in their investigation.
