The American Red Cross is assisting a Bourbonnais family after a fire (Monday) did a reported $250,000 in damage. In a news release, Bourbonnais Fire Protection District Chief Jim Keener reported the fire in the 500 block of Turnberry Lane displaced three adults and the family dog. Everyone safely evacuated the house.
Firefighters responded just after noon after neighbors reported the fire. Firemen found the house showing heavy flames and smoke. A dozen area fire departments answered the mutual aid call. Keener reported a neighboring residence had minor heat damage.
