Bourbonnais village officials (Monday) negotiated a new 4-year deal for police officers. The new deal is the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP). It includes raises and insurance benefits.

Patrol officers will receive a 2.25 percent raise in 2018 and annual raises of 2.5 percent the following three years (2019, 2020 and 2021). The contract is retroactive to May 1.

The village pays 85% of patrol officers insurance; the officer pays 15%.
