February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. The Juvenile Justice Council of Iroquois County is teaming up with Harbor House this Saturday (February 10) for a special event for young people. Bowling against Bullying is a Free bowling event with food and other entertainment at Lucky Lanes in Iroquois. The 4-6 pm event invited 6th thru 12 grade students in Iroquois County for an educational and information activity. No registration is required.
Harbor House Prevention Advocate, Stephanie, explains the "bullying and intimate-partner violence go together...it's about power and control. That has to stop. Harassment leads to full-blown violence. We have to stop it, Stephanie said.
