Bradley Officer killed in line-of-duty identified

The veteran Bradley (IL) police officer killed in the hotel shooting is now identified.  The Kankakee County Coroner's Office said in a press release 49-year-old Marlene Rittmanic died of her injuries.  Another officer shot is in serious condition at a Chicago area hospital.  The officers responded to barking dogs in an unattended vehicle in the parking lot.  The two officers were in conversation with subjects occupying a room at the Comfort Inn on Route 50 when an altercation broke out.  Both officers were shot.  

Police are now looking for 25-year-old Darrius Sullivan who is considered armed and dangerous.  Authorities are also looking for another subject believed involved in the case.

Sgt. Marlene Rittmanic had been with the Bradley Police Department since 2007.  She served as an Iroquois County Sheriff Deputy from 2000 - 2006.
