Three full-time firefighter/paramedics will be added to the Braidwood Fire Protection District, thanks to a FEMA grant awarded to the district.  The Staffing for Adequate Fire Emergency Response Grant program, thru the Federal Emergency Management Agency, is providing #1, 080,000.  The grant provides for the three  additional personnel for three years.  The grant provides for salary and other benefits associated with the positions.  This marks the largest grant the Braidwood district has ever received for staffing.
