Braidwood woman’s search suspended

Braidwood Police Chief Nick Ficcarello says authorities have suspended the search for a woman missing for more than a week. Seventy-three year old Kim Gray was last seen June 11th leaving her home in the Shadow Lakes area.

The Asian woman’s disappearance has baffled authorities as to her whereabouts. There’s been an extensive ground and air search several times in-and-around the Braidwood area. Chief Ficcarello said there have been reported sightings of the woman, even in the Chicago area.

Kim Gray was last seen near her home which she shared with her son and daughter-in-law. Kim Gray’s car is still parked at the residence.

Police report the woman does have family in the Chicago and Michigan areas. Kim Gray suffers from dementia.
Volunteers are encouraged to continue ground searches on their own.
