The Kankakee County Board (Tuesday) approved a resolution that saves taxpayers money for a bridge project at the Kankakee-Ford County line. It's a cost-share program whereby a change in the contract means the county cost is now $80,000. It's a reduced cost from an earlier-reported $375,000. That's because the project is now on the federal work list, meaning the federal government picks up 80% of the bill.
