Motorists in Iroquois County are advised of a road closure for a bridge rehabilitation project on the Woodland Road. County Highway 40, 1400 North Road, near the west edge of Woodland is scheduled to be closed to traffic effective Monday, May 4. The route is Main Street in Woodland, running over Sugar Creek.
The Iroquois County Highway Department announced the bridge project calls for complete replacement of the deck, repair of the sub-structure, and improvements to the approach. Weather permitting, the work begins May 4 and is scheduled to be completed by October 23.
Motorists are advised to follow the marked detour or use an alternate route.
