A stretch of U.S. 24 will close for about 10 days beginning on Monday, March 23rd.

The Indiana Department of Transportation announced US 24 will be closed between County Road 50 East and County Road 150 East in Newton County at Montgomery Ditch for bridge bearing work.  The work is a follow-up to a bridge deck overlay project that was completed in 2024.

Drivers will need to find alternate routes. The official detour follows U.S. 41, State Road 16 and State Road 55.
