Former Limestone Township Fire Chief Jeff Brosseau's sentencing has been delayed in Kankakee Circuit Court.
Brosseau pleaded guilty in March to stealing up to $55,000 from the fire district fund. He's agreed to repay $36,000.
State prosecutors claim Brosseau replaced $19,000 of the money he took over a two-year period just before he was indicted by a grand jury.
Brosseau faces up to seven years in prison. The judge can sentence him to probation. Sentencing is now scheduled for October.
