The beating of a senior citizen nearly three years ago in Iroquois County has a Buckley man standing trial this next week. 27-year-old Shayne Weber is charged with causing great bodily harm to a 67-year-old man outside a Buckley tavern in July of 2017. If convicted of aggravated battery, Weber could be looking at seven years in prison.

The trial is scheduled to go Wednesday 1/15 in Watseka.

Records show Michael Hilligoss suffered from hemorrhaging of the brain and was hospitalized for two days as a result of the fight.
