The Fall harvest is slowing as farmers are wrapping up field activities. But winds today and thru mid-week pose a threat of fires. Fire department officials ask all concerned to keep an eye on fields and equipment. 25-30 mph winds are expected in Central Illinois with temps reaching 70+ before temps drop again by week’s end.
Afternoon temps may climb into the upper 60s and low 70s. It’ll be quite breezy too. Winds over the next several days will approach or surpass 30 miles-per-hour in gusts.
Scattered showers are possible into Thursday evening.
