The City of Watseka joins all of Iroquois County issuing a county-wide burn ban -- until further notice.  Extremely dry conditions has fire officials advising against any burning until rains improve the conditions.  The burn ban includes brush, camp fires and fireworks.  Watseka is in compliance with the several other communities and surrounding counties in  efforts to protect property. 

Several Indiana counties have burn bans extended until June 30.

Weekend rains did help the dry conditions.  Rainfall amounts Saturday night into Sunday morning ranged from one or two-tenths to more than an inch.  More showers and T-storms are in the forecast today thru Tuesday night.
