Area roads are posing slick, snow and ice-covered conditions this (Thursday) morning. The predicted (or expected snow amounts) didn’t happen. But – a freezing rain coupled with the snow left many roads in poor conditions. IDOT crews and other snow removal operators kept the roads passable, but a glaze of black-ice in areas could be treacherous. Caution is the word today.

Some schools are delaying their start, others offer E-Learning. As for after-school events, we suggest you call ahead.
