Chandler brings “Agriculture into the Classroom”

The last 11 years have been busy for Aimee Chandler. She’s been very active promoting Ag in the classroom programs thru the University of Illinois Extension Office. And on Friday, the extension family is recognizing what Aimee has meant to the program.

Friday will be "Aimee Chandler Ag Day" in Ford and Iroquois counties.
The U of I’s Ford-Iroquois Office is hosting its annual “Ag Day.” The event at the Christ Lutheran High School in Buckley finds several ag-related businesses and educational programs promoting what they do for the ag community.

This year, the program is named in honor of Chandler, Ag in the Classroom program coordinator and 11-year Ford-Iroquois extension staff member.

Aimee is leaving her position to pursue a middle-school teaching position, instead of returning to the Extension Office. She holds a Master’s degree in Ag education.

Aimee and husband, Greg, are expecting their third child.

{WGFA Radio will be broadcasting from the Ag Day event FRIDAY from 10 am ‘til Noon}.
