The popular Iroquois County Christmas Cantata will perform five times beginning this Friday. The program is again at the First Christian Church in Watseka.
"Hope of the Broken World" is this year's theme. Director Pat Neal says "the title says it all; we're involved with a troubled world and seems to be getting worse."
"Jesus is our hope. Jesus is the one true hope for all of us, yet He's being pushed out of our schools, communities and family lives," Neal said.
The popularity of the Cantata finds ticket availability limited. Call 708-522-2272.
The voices of the Cantata are comprised of people from churches all over Iroquois County. There's 86 individuals representing 21 towns and 34 churches. Neal said there's a lot of talented voices, including the 4th and 5th grade junior-choir.
